Hong Kong, 25–28 August 2026 — Banco Central de Timor-Leste (BCTL), through its Financial System Supervision Department (DFSS), participated in the Financial Leadership Training Course 2026, held at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).
The programme was jointly organised by the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and The SEACEN Centre, bringing together senior officials from central banks, ministries of finance and other public financial institutions across the region.
The initiative aimed to strengthen the leadership capabilities of financial sector executives by providing practical and forward-looking perspectives on key economic, financial, institutional and technological challenges currently affecting public institutions.
Over the four-day programme, participants explored a range of strategic topics, including macroeconomic transformation associated with artificial intelligence, the development of government bond markets, leadership amid complexity and change, regulatory risks and challenges related to stablecoins, transition finance, and people-centred leadership in the age of artificial intelligence.
